It is an option for those who prefer to pay more for space, a flexible schedule and additional services.

When you choose a pet hotel, check exactly what the base rate includes and what is charged separately, how large a room actually is, how many walks and play sessions an animal gets per day, what the ratio of staff to animals is, which vaccinations are required, and how medical emergencies are handled. Ask to visit and see occupied rooms, not just show rooms, and read the contract for the cancellation policy and for extra days.

Do a short trial stay and bring the usual food, medication and an item that smells of home. Agree in advance how and when you get updates, so you are not calling anxiously every evening.

A higher rate does not automatically mean better care, so look at the facts rather than the photos: the number of staff per shift, how much time an animal actually spends out of its room, and who makes medical decisions in your absence. Ask for references from clients who have left an animal with needs similar to yours.
