Animal Training covers education and behaviour-modification services for dogs, cats and other species, from basic puppy classes to work on serious problems. Ask whether sessions are one-to-one or in a group, whether you go to a field or the trainer comes to you, how much the owner is involved, because you are the one who continues the work at home, and how progress is measured. For cases of aggression or marked anxiety, ask for collaboration with the vet.

Ask whether you can watch a session before enrolling and ask for references from other clients with problems similar to yours, because the relationship between the trainer, you and the animal matters at least as much as the technique itself. The outcome depends on consistency at home between sessions, in short daily bursts.
